Akara is a very versatile product, so be creative and adventurous! Savor its slightly spicy, hearty but healthy flavor as is (naked) or adorned with your favorite sauce or dressing.
Some suggestions to get your creative juices flowing:
Heat Akara in the microwave for a few seconds and pop into the toaster oven or regular oven until crisp and top with your favorite sauce.
Use Akara in place of meat for your sandwich. Spread your favorite regular or seasoned mayo on your sandwich bread and top with a split Akara along with greens and, if you like, cheese. Yum, yum!
For a low-carb lunch, try warm Akara with greens and avocado.
Try Akara with creamy rice or risotto.
One of my favorite restaurants serves Akara on a bed of baby greens with dragon sauce. Wow!
